TFL Goes Virtual!

Teach For Lebanon (TFL) intends to continue to run its operations effectively in AY 2020-2021 and its executive team has set various implementation plans taking into consideration different possible return to schools scenarios. All plans include capacity-building components to care for the well-being of the executive team, educators and the school communities, and laying the foundation for more effective online education interventions. TFL is also seeking new partnerships with local and international education players that will help us become stronger to face the challenging situation and its evolution. We will remain dedicated towards serving the same mission and providing quality education to all children in Lebanon. Our dynamic teaching leaders will continue educating students through in person teaching if possible and innovative online and distant learning strategies against all odds.

A New Cohort In the Making

The TFL 2020 Summer Institute took place from July 13 to August 3 2020. A four-week virtual training on Education Pedagogy allowed the newly on boarded Cohort of Fellows to develop a theoretical understanding of the frameworks of teaching as well as specific techniques needed to teach all subject areas at all levels.

It is thanks to our valuable supporters that we are able to sustain our mission, providing quality education for all children and building a generation of leaders that will work towards the vision of a better Lebanon. Our theoretical training on Education Pedagogy for our newly on-boarded Cohort 12 was supported by USAID and certified by the Lebanese American University – LAU

Our A-list candidates, the 22 selected Cohort 12 Fellows-to-be who took 170 hours of training, are highly motivated and excited to integrate the 2020-2022 TFL Fellowship. They were selected between more than 800 candidates from all regions across Lebanon. We wish them much success ahead for their new step in their career.
