C15 Fellow Empowering Minds and Promoting Equality at Hasbaya Public School for Boys

by Teach For Lebanon - Nov 14,2023

In a remarkable initiative, Cohort 15 Fellow Wafaa Badawi organized an impactful extracurricular activity for her ninth-grade students at Hasbaya Public School for Boys. This initiative, aligned with the "Let Girls Thrive" project under the Fellowship program, aimed to empower girls and promote gender equality.

Wafaa began the activity by explaining the importance of empowering girls and promoting gender equality.

Then, she asked her students to brainstorm and write down five words that represent the concept of girl empowerment. Further, she asked them to share their words and discuss the meaning behind them. The entire class joined in the discussion of empowering girls and their positive impact on society.

Finally, they made a cool visual display using the words they wrote, celebrating their collective effort and reinforcing the significance of supporting and empowering girls.

Wafaa's dedication to this cause is commendable, she's shaping young minds to be champions of gender equality.
